Saturday 27th ~ August Bank Holiday Special

Bop Local’s August Bank Holiday stint at the Chorlton Irish Club promises to be a good ‘un (plus we get 2 days to recover)! DJ and occasional radio presenter, Jeff Hordley will be assisting Phil Beckett with a top selection of tunes for the night. Jeff is probably familiar to most as Cain Dingle in Emmerdale. He and radio sidekick, Graeme Hawley were Phil’s guest DJs way back in October last year, so we’re all looking forward to his return visit to the Irish Club on Saturday 27th August.

September looks to be our busiest month yet, since Bop Local kicked off in June 2010:

First of all, we’ll be hosting the official aftershow party for the Rochdale Feel Good Festival on Saturday 3rd September upstairs at the Flying Horse Hotel. Funkademia’s Mark Smith will be DJing along with XFM breakfast show team, Tim Cocker & Jim Salveson. http://tinyurl.com/3k6bcr6

Two weeks later ~ on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th ~ we’ll be part of the Ramsbottom Festival. Phil’s guest DJ will be radio presenter (& drummer in The Smiths, of course) Mike Joyce. www.ramsbottomfestival.com

Then Bop Local returns to The Moor Suite, Heaton Moor on Friday September 23rd, where XFM’s Clint Boon will be Phil’s guest for the night.

To end the run of September Bop Locals, we’ll be heading back for the regular night at Chorlton Irish Club on Friday 30th September.

Doors open 8.30pm & close at 1am
